Zumba Toning Starts Tonight!!!!!!

Zumba toning starts tonight at the Lake Ann United Methodist gym. I am so excited about adding this extra class to our roster. I am really loving it right now and I can’t wait to have a whole party Toning together!

Zumba Toning takes the original Zumba dance-fitness class to the next level with innovative muscle training and the addition of light weight toning sticks. This class emphasizes muscle work along with rhythms, and the combination of cardio with dynamic resistive exercises improves overall performance.

You can expect the same party atmosphere as the Zumba Fitness classes because the rhythm of the dance is the passion and foundation that you can’t get enough of!

What’s Different?

Zumba toning is slower-paced, more concentrated workout. We target specific muscle groups with all the same excitement ast Zumba Fitness. While Fitness focuses on cardio, the Toning class helps tone muscle which will help you burn more calories faster in the long run.

Basically the more tone your muscles, the more you’ll get out of future Zumba workouts.

Zumba Toning Sticks

In Zumba Toning we use these extra-fun weighted toning sticks that double as maracas! They provide the necessary strength training to tone those muscles (many of which have long been forgotten!)

Feel free to come with your own weights to start – I recommend trying a 1.5 lb dumbell weight for you first class, but don’t bring anything over 3 lbs.

You can also do the class without weights, it’s still a great workout!

How Ripped will I Get?

This is not a bodybuilding class, so if you’re concerned about “bulking up” too much there is nothing to worry about. The light weight training techniques tone the muscle rather than build new muscle.

If my one-day-a-week Toning class is your only workout, you may not see much results. That’s why I encourage everyone at my classes to come to at least two classes per week along with your regular at-home workouts. For best results I encourage everyone to come to my Zumba Fitness and Zumba Toning class from two to four times a week.

Along with a healthy diet you’ll see big changes (I’m experiencing it right now! Lost over 25 lbs and several sizes this year)

Can Anyone do it?

Zumba Toning is definitely a challenging workout. The great thing is that just like my Zumba Fitness class you can customize your workout as you go. You may not be able to squat or lunge quite as low as I am, but Zumba Toning will still target those specific muscle groups as long as you are challenging yourself and working hard.

What about the Cost?

I’m excited to offer this special course at the same amazing rate as my other Zumba Fitness classes. That means only $6 (insane!) for a drop-in and those of you saving big bucks with a Zumba punch card can use that as well.
